Warrior - Showcase Design, 2017
The primitive and nature are adorned to an immeasurable extent. Through their appearances, ornaments, and the colors with which they paint themselves, they render themselves powerful, alluring, and mystical. In this way, they can exist as a part of nature and partake in this infinite, vibrant spectacle.
In mythology, despite the dazzling allure of the peacock—symbolizing ornamentation, magnificent beauty, and pride—or the brilliance of jewels, some choose to adorn themselves only with what they love most.
Adornment can either conceal who and what we are—our true worth—or reveal it entirely. Throughout the ages, from the most primitive to the most advanced, every society has adorned itself with the values of its land, extracting precious elements from beneath the earth, or burying and safeguarding what is valuable within it.
Amphorae—made of clay, resembling the human form, and functioning as vessels of preservation—are often buried underground. Beyond their physical form, what renders them valuable is what they hold, what they carry, and their history—just like human beings.
We search for jewels in the most hidden, deepest parts of the earth. While some pursue rare diamonds, others dig into the very heart of the soil, bringing forth the “black diamond” from the depths through labor and integrity, transforming it into value.
So, what is truly valuable?...
Dedicated to the memory of the miners we lost in Soma.

Color, texture and effect studies were made with mother-of-pearl paint on the plaster boards on the ceiling. Wall colors are effective paintings based on furniture colors. Central motif application was made with mother-of-pearl paint in the center of the ceiling, and the ceiling was made a whole with the edges and corners as parts of the motif. The kitchen, corridor and children's rooms were continued with mother-of-pearl paint and gold leaf, adhering to the motifs and colors. Marble texture is made with gypsum columns and arches with layer-by-layer color applications. Artist Fatih Sungurtekin, Master Artist Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin
