Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881 - November 10, 1938) was a Turkish soldier, statesman and the founder of the Turkish Republic. Atatürk spent his whole life for the liberation and establishment of Turkey. The only thing that the great leader, who always ran from front to front, wanted for himself was the yacht allocated to him by the Turkish Nation a few months before his death. In this work, Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin benefited from a photograph from his trip on the Savarona yacht, which she saw as the last wish of Atatürk, also known as Turkey's great ancestor Ata. Gümüş Sungurtekin said that this was the most difficult work she did in her artistic duty as a Naval Painter, and said that this photograph was unfortunately one of the last photographs of Atatürk before he died. But Atatürk was always magnificent in any situation. She thought "penetrating like a wolf, luminous, deep as the ocean, blue". With respect to the cherished memory of Atatürk.
